What we collect

Nothing. Piecely has no servers, no accounts, and no network calls other than Apple's own StoreKit for purchase verification. Your photos are processed locally and never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions we request and why

Piecely requests three permissions — all directly tied to features you actively use:

📷 Camera

Used only when you tap the camera button to take a new photo for pressing. The app does not access the camera at any other time. You can deny this and still use photos from your library.

🖼 Photo Library (read)

Used only when you pick a photo from your library to press. Piecely reads the selected image and nothing else — it does not scan or browse your library in the background.

💾 Photo Library (add)

Used only when you tap "Save" on a finished piece. The app writes the output image to your Photos library. You can choose "Keep" instead to store pieces inside the app without touching your Photos library.

Your photos and pieces

All photo processing happens on your device. Pieces you "Keep" are stored in the app's private sandbox on your device only. Pieces you "Save" are written to your Photos library by you, on your instruction.

Uninstall the app and all locally stored pieces are gone. There's nothing on our end to request deletion of.

In-app purchases

Purchases (like the Birthday Pack) are handled by Apple's StoreKit. Piecely receives only a receipt confirming the entitlement — we never see your Apple ID, payment details, or transaction history.

Analytics and tracking

None. Piecely contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind — no Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry, Amplitude, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or Meta SDK.

Children's privacy

Piecely is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Since we collect nothing at all, children are not at risk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example when we add a feature requiring new permissions — this page will be updated with a new date and the change will be noted. We will not add data collection silently.
